My Love of Animals

05/FEB/00

You might be saying to yourself, "How could someone who worships satan and sacrifices animals love animals?" I fyou are saying this, then I pity you. What kind of ignorant fool are you to think that I engage in animal sacrifice just because I relate the the Satanic philosophy. Satanists generally have a very strong respect and admiration for our furry friends. Since we are all Atheists, there is no need for a feeling of domination of nature that comes with the belief in some sort of super-god. The bible speaks of god giving mankind dominion over the Earth and all things on it. This is a rediculous notion to Atheists in general and especially Satanists, because we are no different than any other biological life-form.

Anton LaVey says it best in the Nine Satanic Statements:

(7) Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his "divine spiritual and intellectual development," has become the most vicious animal of all!

I love animals so much (how much do you love them!?) that I currently work for a vet clinic and I'm studying to be a vet. I find that the bond between a house cat and it's "owner" is actually quite a bit stronger than 90% of all Human relationships. Humans are dirty, "evil," sick, disturbing, wasteful, and egotistical creatures. I have found that besides the few really dumb and psycotic mutts, that non-human animals are so much more perfect than us. Yes we can use highly advanced tools and reason and create all sorts of wonderful inventions, but at the expense of our enviroment and other animals. I am a firm believer in the supremicy of Mankind as a species, just not as a society. Individually we are the most amazing creatures on the planet, but like the old saying goes, "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers!" Our current life-style and social oganization is in dire need of a tune-up. At the risk of sounding like some sort of tree-hugging-hippi, we really should try to be a bit more Earth concious.

Anyways, back to my favorite fur-balls. I personally enjoy the company of house cats above any other animal. They are highly intellegent creatures and the majority of them have wonderful reasoning skills (as far as felines go). Their intellegence makes them comparable to a Human companion, but with a few slight modifications. They are very aesthetically pleasing, sleek, and glamerous creatures. Their personal hygiene is much better than some humans I have encountered. They are independent, unlike the christian flunkies we find in Human communities. They know what they want and ALWAYS get it some way or another. Their entire existence is centered around themselves, I truely think they feel like they are gods. I heard a funny little quote the other day on this topic, "What dogs think: He feeds me, he pets me, he houses me, he grooms me, he must be god; What cats think: He feeds me, he pets me, he houses me, he grooms me, I must be god!"

I think we should strive to be more like our animal cousins, rather than some sort of chosen child of god who commands nature. Embrace your animal instincts, they are what makes you real, alive, and truthful.
